Good morning Mayor Cole and City Councilors,
We are pleased to invite you to the World Premiere of Call of the West, a new Wyoming PBS documentary exploring the past, present, and future of the American dude ranch.
The screening will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in the Billings Livestock Horse Sales Ballroom (third floor) at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 27 N. 27th St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
The premiere is being held in Billings in conjunction with the Dude Ranchers’ Association Centennial Convention, bringing together ranchers and industry leaders from across the West for this milestone celebration.
Produced by Wyoming PBS, the hour-long film highlights working dude ranches across the West, including Montana’s Flathead Lake Lodge and Nine Quarter Circle Ranch, and examines how these iconic operations balance tradition with modern realities. Following the screening, director Mat Hames will moderate a panel discussion.
We hope you’ll join us for this special evening celebrating a tradition deeply woven into the heritage and economy of the American West. Your presence would be most welcome.
(In the event a quorum of the Council is present, no City-related decisions will be made during this meeting.)
