Biography
Kevin Iffland was raised in the Billings area and attended Shepherd High School. He started his law enforcement career in 1991 with the Phillips County Sheriff’s Department, later moving to the Great Falls Police Department then returning to Billings in 1995. He served in several capacities at the Billings Police Department including the Patrol Division, Policy and Research, Employment Background investigator, Administrative Lieutenant and Captain of the Office of Professional Standards Division.
In June 2018 he stepped into the position of the Assistant City Administrator for Billings. He brings more than 29 years of local government experience to his current role. He is currently administering several departments within the City of Billings including Airport, Fire, Internet Technology, Library, Parks and Recreation, Police, Parking, Fleet Services, Facilities and Building.
He is a graduate of Montana State University Billings with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Montana State University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. Kevin and his wife Angi have 2 grown children.
Kevin is a 4th generation Montanan and enjoys spending time outdoors doing a variety of activities including hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.
