Join the Billings Chamber of Commerce for “Public Safety: Strategies for a Secure Future.” This important community event will take place on Wednesday, March 13 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
“Public Safety: Strategies for a Secure Future” will feature a panel of local officials working on our pressing public safety concerns. Attendees will hear valuable insights from County Attorney Scott Twito, Billings City Council Member Jennifer Owen, Billings Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Erwin Garcia, and County Commissioner Mark Morse. Discussion topics will include the 72-hour short-term arraignment hold facility, proposed school safety improvements, addressing domestic violence, and collaborating to resolve problems in the local justice system.
“We knew we’d have more work to do after passing the 2021 Public Safety Mill Levy,” shares Billings Chamber Director of Business Advocacy Dan Brooks. “We are incredibly appreciative of our local leadership working together to solve the safety challenges we face and look forward to continued progress. Hopefully folks attend our event and learn more and find out how to get more involved.” “Public Safety: Strategies for a Secure Future” is presented by Buchanan Capital Inc., Corning Companies, and Rocky Mountain College. There is no cost to attend this event, which includes a complimentary hot breakfast and time for networking with other attendees. Doors will open at 7:15 a.m. Space is limited, and registration is open through Monday, March 8. Register at BillingsChamber.com.
