The City of Billings Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce its newest adaptive recreation program, starting February 23rd: Love Serving Autism!
The goal of this program is to develop life skills and communication through therapeutic tennis and pickleball instruction – serving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental and physical challenges.
Here’s some background on the program's stellar LSA coach:
“Hello! My name is Riley Gilsdorf, I am 20 years old and I am a senior Human Services major at Montana State University-Billings. After graduation, I hope to find a fulfilling career working with the people in my community. For the past few years, I have been coaching tennis with many groups, including Billings Parks and Recreation, Billings Tennis Association, Big Sky Pickleball, and Tennis Club, and Billings West High's girl's tennis team. I have been playing tennis since I was 8 years old and have fallen in love with the sport!”
Love Serving Autism will be every Friday for 5-weeks.
Anyone interested in the program can sign up by visiting the parks and recreation website.
We are excited to add more adaptive recreation programs and another regular offering building on the success of Miracle League of Billings!
