My office is accepting applications to fill the Billings City Council vacancy in Ward II.
This vacancy was created by the recent resignation of Councilmember Larry Brewster and will be filled by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The successful candidate must be a resident of Ward II and be a registered voter of the City of Billings.
If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit a letter, enclose a resume and any documentation that will show your qualifications for the Council position. The application letter should include the length of your residency in the City of Billings and the State of Montana and should reveal any potential conflicts of interest that the applicant believes might apply if selected as a Councilmember. In order to continue serving in the position, the successful appointee will be required to stand for election for a four (4) year term in November, 2019. The deadline for submitting all required application material is 5:00 p.m., Monday November 26, 2018.
