Greetings Mayor and Council,
Partners for Parks Foundation is holding our Parks Champion Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, October 29th. This year’s award recipients are:
- Landon’s Legacy – for their commitment to providing recreational opportunities for all.
- Bill & Anne Cole – for their unwavering support and advocacy for parks and recreation in Billings.
Partners for Parks Foundation’s mission is to enhance our community by funding and promoting exceptional public parks and recreational opportunities. Proceeds from the luncheon will go towards a website upgrade for the foundation so we can expand our community impact, and for small parks and recreation project grants we are offering in 2026. As you are aware, there is an anticipated $800,000 shortfall in the city parks budget next year. While Partners for Parks is not currently equipped to “save the day” for park funding (hopefully someday!), we will continue to celebrate smaller project wins such as the solar lights we purchased for the Rose Park Trail, and our support of partner projects such as the forthcoming basketball court in Pioneer Park.
**In the event a quorum of the City Council is present, no City-related decisions will be made during this meeting or event.**
