Substance Abuse Connect Partners & Community,

 

We have a tremendous opportunity to learn from one of the top experts in the field of Servant Leadership and Engagement, Dr. Joe Albert (See bio below).  

Dr. Albert will be in Billings on Monday July 18th and has graciously offered to do two workshops for partners and community members working with Substance Abuse Connect.   

 

Workshop 1:  10:00am – 11:30am 

Workshop 2:  1:30 pm – 3:00pm 

 

Both workshops will be the same so please choose the one that works best for you.  The workshops will be held at United Way (2173 Overland Ave).

Dr. Joe Albert BIO

Dr. Albert was the dean of the School of Professional Studies, which was renamed the School of Leadership Studies at Gonzaga. He co-founded the Gonzaga Emerging Leaders Program, which offers a guided leadership development process for emerging leaders from companies in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Albert has maintained a reputation as an outstanding instructor, innovative leader and skilled program designer. In addition, he has provided leadership consulting, training and coaching to leaders, organizations, and communities locally, regionally and nationally. With specialties in leadership development, storytelling, emotional intelligence, strategic planning and leadership talent development, Joe's skills rest in customizing his work to the specific needs of the group or individual with whom he is working. Joe has spoken nationally as a conference keynote, workshop presenter, and organization retreat facilitator in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. 

At Gonzaga he was responsible for the implementation of the School Strategic Plan.
 - Developed and assisted in the implementation of the School Advisory Board initiatives.
 - Oversaw Training and Development.

Has taught the following courses at the graduate and undergraduate level:
 - Introduction to Leadership
 - Psychology of Leadership
 - Organizational Change
 - Leadership and Storytelling
 - Servant Leadership
 - Organizational Theory
 - Project Leadership

Now as a full-time executive coach, consultant, presenter and facilitator, Joe provides a rich knowledge base coupled with extraordinary skills in the areas of emotional intelligence and leadership development. Joe holds a Ph.D. in leadership studies, a master’s degree in counseling-psychology both from Gonzaga University and, an undergraduate degree in business management from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

In the event a quorum of the City Council is present, NO City-related business decisions shall be made.
