The new facility accomplishes two important goals:
- Provides a modern, state-of-the-art morgue with more capacity and a better working space for medical examiners.
- By co-locating with the chemistry lab that we brought to Billings in 2016, the new facility consolidates all Department of Justice forensic science operations in one building.
The new satellite lab will improve forensic science services for eastern Montana and help meet the region’s growing needs.
