Citizens are invited to ride with police officers. Ride-alongs are a chance to see first-hand the situations that police officers encounter every day. The rides usually last a few hours and can be done at any time of day or day of the week.
Use the link below to download the ride-along request form. The completed form must be turned in at the Billings Police Department (in City Hall, 220 North 27th Street). A clerk will take a copy of the applicant’s photo identification and provide the form to a Commander who will schedule a ride-along and contact the applicant with details.
If the ride-along applicant is under the age of 18 years, a parent or guardian must sign the form and present identification when turning in the ride-along request.
