Agendas, Minutes, & Support Documents

All meetings are legally advertised and announced. Meeting agendas and packets are generally posted on the City of Billings website one week prior to the meeting date. Additional information on any of these items is available in the Planning and Community Services Office.

Public hearings are accessible to individuals with physical disabilities. A TTY number for the hearing impaired, 406-657-3079, is available upon request. Special arrangements for participation in the public hearings by individuals with hearing, speech, or vision impairment may be made upon request at least three days prior to the hearing.

Overview

Section 27-1609 (B)

The City Zoning Commission shall consist of 5 citizen members appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation of the City Council. Terms of each member shall be for four years. It shall hold its meetings in the City Council Chambers in City Hall on the 5th Floor, 316 N. 26th St., and the presence of three members shall constitute a quorum.


Its duties and powers shall be to recommend the boundaries of the various original districts and appropriate regulations to be enforced therein, and to hold public meetings and make recommendations to the City Council on all requests to amend, supplement change, modify or repeal the regulations, restrictions and boundaries in zoning districts. The City Council shall not hold its public hearing or take action until it has received a final report from such
