When riding your bike in Billings...

Be bright, be seen!
Wear bright colored clothing and make sure your bicycle is equipped with a white light on the front and a red light on the back.

Be predictable! People riding bicycles have every right to the road as people driving cars therefore must obey all the same rules. Ride with traffic. Here are some common automobile - bicycle collisions.

Careful with the sidewalk!
While it seems safe, there are many approaches and intersections. These can be great places for younger children to ride, but take care at driveways and intersection. It's a good idea to ride in the same directions and automobile travel. Bicycles are not permitted in "business districts", including downtown, within the City of Billings and must yield to people walking.

Go with the flow! Never ride against traffic even if riding on the sidewalk.

Ride single file! When riding in a group, ride in a single file line where possible.
