Biography
Dr. Mark Nicholson’s family has been in Montana since Montana was a territory. His parents were born and raised in Roundup. Dr Mark was born in Glendive and spent his formative years in Helena. He and his family moved to Billings (Ward 1, the Beating Heart of Billings) in 2004, and he has lived in here longer than anywhere else.
Dr. Mark graduated from Helena Senior High School, Carroll College and the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed family medicine training at the University of Utah and later he completed psychiatric training at the University of Washington. He practiced psychiatry at the Mental Health Center for eleven years before establishing an independent solo private psychiatric practice. He had privileges at both Billings hospitals and worked closely with our community health center.
As the council member from Ward 1, Dr Mark wants to work toward more housing, especially affordable housing, less crime through crime prevention and safer streets for everyone.
