1. My neighbor has a junk vehicle (or several junk vehicles) on the property. What can be done?

All junk vehicles, including vehicles that are not currently licensed, must be stored within an enclosed building or removed from the property after five (5) days. Within the city limits, please report violations to City of Billings Code Enforcement Division. In Yellowstone County please report violations to Mike Schieno (mschieno@yellowstonecountymt.gov). In the City, please call (406) 237-6146 and in Yellowstone County call (406) 652-2050.

2. There is graffiti on my neighbor’s fence. Who should I call?

In residential neighborhoods, please call (406) 237-6146. Also, please report graffiti vandalism to the Police Department at (406) 657-8200. If the graffiti vandalism is in progress (perpetrators on scene) call 911.

3. There is an overgrown lawn next door. What can I do about this problem?

Call (406) 237-6146 to report a weed complaint. Weed cutting season is from May 1st to September 30th each calendar year.

4. Who handles vehicles with motors including motorcycles, motor homes, and campers, cars parked on the street abandoned, unlicensed, and/or inoperable for more than 5 days?

To report an abandoned vehicle use the Billings Police online reporting system or call the Crime Prevention Center at (406) 247-8590.

5. Who handles trailers stored on the street?

Trailers stored on the street in residential areas are handled by the residential code enforcement officers
